Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local primary school in Chesterfield. Which will commence October 2021. For the right people there is the possibility of a permanent contract.


The role 

The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be working 5 mornings a week in a Reception (FS2) class, Working with a couple of children. 1 with ADHD and 1 with Autism.


The school

This is a large primary school in Chesterfield, with a passionate and dedicated team of staff. The school has a mixed level of abilities. As such this requires someone who has the skills to easily adapt their teaching and supporting approach.


Requirements

To be considered for the SEND Teaching Assistant position, you will:


• Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare. 

• Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary environment.

• Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

• Ideally have experience delivering primary lessons.
