Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Full time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local primary school in the North Tyneside area.

This is a larger than average school, where pupils achievement and enjoyment of learning are outstanding. In lessons, pupils concentrate exceptionally well, listen carefully to the teacher and to one another and are confident and motivated learners. The school is looking for a full time teaching assistant, to work with a Reception aged pupil on a one to one basis.

The successful Special Educational Needs (SEND) Teaching Assistant will have excellent knowledge of working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and ideally will have worked with children with SEND including behavioral difficulties. This position will be on a one-to-one basis, working with a Reception aged pupil. The suitable candidate will be working closely with the SENDCO to deliver the best possible care for the child you will be responsible for. This position will be full time, working 08:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday. 

To be considered for the position of Special Educational Needs (SEND) Teaching Assistant you must:

• Have experience supporting children in primary education in Early Years and specifically with SEND

• Hold a Level 3 qualification or above in childcare

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Primary School Staff

• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
