Job overview

SENDCo, MPS/UPS plus TLR 2 (level dependent on experience)

From January 2022 (or sooner, if possible)

Full time, Permanent

Hinchingbrooke School is a large, vibrant, and inclusive community that serves the Huntingdonshire area.    The school benefits from the support of the Trust Director of SEND and has a team of highly- qualified and committed SEND specialist staff.  We have a large, modern SEND Hub within the school, where we provide specialist support for our students.

We are looking either for someone who is already working as a SENDCo in a secondary school, or for an outstanding teacher who wants to work in SEND and undertake the SENDCo qualification as soon as possible.   The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Assistant Principal SEND (who is also a qualified SENDCo) and will manage the school’s SEND Hub on a daily basis.  The teaching commitment is approximately 10 lessons per fortnight (out of 50).

We welcome visits to the school.  To arrange a visit, or to find more about this role, including having a conversation with the Principal, please contact Debbie Warner, the Principal’s PA on dwarner@hbk.acesmat.uk

Fully qualified SENDCo status, with a completed SENDCo award would be an advantage.

Closing date for applications: Monday 19 September 2022, 9 a.m.

Interviews will be held as soon as possible after this date – exact date to be confirmed
