We require from 1st September 2019, an inspirational, committed and student-centred SENDCo to join this lively and ‘outstanding’ 11-18 Foundation School.  You will oversee and lead a cohesive team in supporting SEND students across the school and be expected to work closely with parents/carers, external agencies and staff, to further improve their outcomes. The SENDCo will provide guidance in the area of SEND in order to secure high quality teaching and the effective use of resources to bring about improved standards of achievement. The post is a key appointment in terms of enhancing and ensuring the positive life chances of students with SEND.

Bishop Heber High School is a mixed, non-denominational comprehensive school with a sixth form, there are 1280 students on roll aged 11-18. It is situated in the picturesque village of Malpas. The school has an enviable reputation for excellence both within its catchment area and far beyond. The school was founded in 1960.

Location

Malpas is a large village placed deep in the south Cheshire countryside. There are several pubs in the village as well as good quality local shopping. Malpas also hosts a regular Farmers’ Market. If you are looking to explore, Malpas is a great base for sightseeing with Cheshire, Shropshire and North Wales just a stone’s throw away. Practically on your doorstep is the famous city of Chester, you can reach the city in 30 minutes and explore all the historic sites.
