Are you passionate about inclusive education and keen to work as part of a large ‘Outstanding’ inclusion team?

Chestnut Park Primary School is looking to recruit a SENDco for 2-3 days per week to work within the inclusion team.

Our inclusion team includes an Inclusion Lead for EAL and PP children, ten THRIVE practitioners, a full time behaviour support lead, an ELKLAN Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, a fortnightly speech therapist, a ‘Hive’ lead ( a school developed SEN base) and an Early Identification Teaching Assistant.

The SENDco will play a pivotal role in developing our inclusive provision and the candidate will be well supported by the inclusion team. As a growing school the post is suited to an aspiring SENDco who is keen to learn and complete the SENDco accreditation or a highly experienced SENDco who aspires to support the inclusive practice of the school.

Chestnut Park is an ‘Outstanding’ ( Ofsted June 2018) primary school which places inclusion at the heart of our practice. Our vision is that Chestnut Park Primary School will be a primary school of excellence, where every child is both challenged and inspired to achieve beyond their dreams. We believe every child should be inspired by a rich and varied curriculum which focuses on establishing the highest standard of basic skills, whilst nurturing independent learners and thinkers.

We can offer you:

• The support of GLF Schools and the opportunity to be part of an inspirational, growing and dynamic organisation
• A chance to work in a diverse, inclusive, vibrant and fast growing community with excellent transport links
• New top of the range facilities to aid Teaching and Learning.
• A supportive senior management team and wider staff body within GLF Schools
• Recognition of previous school continuous service.

All of our staff benefit from professional development opportunities within the GLF group.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please call the school office on 020 3750 6090 or email enquiries@chestnutparkschool.org to arrange a tour with Headteacher, Esther Brooks.

As a Trust, we support application from educators from diverse background seeking flexible working opportunities.

We reserve the right to withdrawn this vacancy at any time ahead of the closing date if there is a good level of response.  Therefore, we would recommend that you submit your application as early as possible.
