Do you want to work in an award winning school (NAS Excellence Award 2018) with a small number of youngsters (40 on roll) and a real commitment to ensuring these youngsters thrive? Roman Fields is an alternative provision that caters for the most complex and vulnerable needs; all our young people have EHC Plans. We have been recognised for our good practice time and time again and received a good Ofsted judgement in 2014 and continue to go from strength to strength. We are proud to say that we have recently been nominated and won the 2018 National Autistic Society's Excellence Award following our Autism Accreditation renewal in 2017. We do our utmost to ensure that each young person is given every opportunity to learn and succeed. Roman Fields is a county wide service which interacts with all area organisations, county developments and provisions. It is an exciting and unique provision which uses creativity and innovation to reach and engage young people. For some young people the provision is part of a transition package or a short term placement pending further assessment. For others it is a potential permanent solution to their educational needs. Programmes are established by the SENCO and Assistant Head in consultation with the referring officer, parents/carers and the young person. The provision works in partnership with other colleges, alternative education providers and other professionals to try to facilitate the optimum package of support on an individual basis.
