An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our talented and committed team as a SENDCo with Class Teacher responsibility.

Pocklington Junior School is part of the Wolds Learning Partnership Academy Trust. We are looking for an experienced, passionate and talented teacher with a passion for supporting Learners with special educational needs.

Successful candidates will:

·        Be a positive role model who is committed to upholding the school ethos and values.

·        Be an excellent communicator with high levels of organisation.

·        Be child focused.

·        Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and work on own initiative.

·        Provide professional guidance to colleagues, work closely with staff, parents and outside agencies.

·        Have a very good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.

·        Be an excellent classroom teacher with a proven track record.

·        Understand the role of the teaching assistant and how to develop those holding this position.

·        Have an excellent understanding of safeguarding and what creates a positive culture for safeguarding.
