Hillyfield Primary Academy is a seven-form entry school for pupils aged 2-11 in Walthamstow, East London. The school is split across two sites a mile apart, Hillyfield on the Hill and Hillyfield at the Park. The new Park site provides facilities for extra Reception and key stage 1 classes. Hillyfield is a larger-than-average primary, with 1,200 children currently on roll and plans to add another 400.

Executive Headteacher

Values and Vision

The school motto is "Brilliance in every child. Excellence every day". Hillyfield values respect, responsibility and good behaviour in its students, helping to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere. The curriculum is tailored towards giving children valuable formative experiences that will shape their later childhood. Staff encourage children to become critical, independent thinkers.

Art is a focus of the school, and an activity which the children can greatly enjoy. Hillyfield is also a registered Sing Up school, which gives it access to resources aimed at improving and maintaining vocal performance among pupils.

Ofsted

"Pupils have very positive attitudes to school and are proud to talk about what they have learned. Behaviour in lessons and around the school is typically exemplary. Pupils show a high degree of respect and care for each other."
