Finborough School is a thriving, ambitious independent co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 2-18 years that has been awarded Excellent in all areas by ISI. The school is set in 40 acres on the outskirts of Stowmarket in Suffolk. Over the past 10 years there has been significant pupil growth (650 pupils) and investment in the facilities.

We are looking for an experienced professional with at least three years boarding experience that is looking to progress into a leadership position working with the SLT. You will have a passion for creating a home from home environment for our pupils with an emphasis on nurturing, listening and coaching. We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual to lead our established outstanding boarding team. Your first-class communication and pastoral skills will ensure a safe and nurturing environment is provided for our pupils whilst keeping our parents fully informed. 

You must be able to demonstrate an awareness of safeguarding and child protection legislation and issues, and will be expected to uphold a full commitment to the best safeguarding practice.

The expectation is you would offer a timetabled contribution to other areas of school life either in the classroom or through sport. This would provide an opportunity for you to fully immerse yourself in school life.
