Job overview

An inspirational Anglican priest is sought to give leadership to the religious, spiritual and pastoral life of our thriving 13-18 years co-educational boarding school.

Guided by your deep Christian faith, you will creatively and compassionately engage with all members of our community, thereby strengthening our spiritual character and building upon our Anglican heritage. You will be supportive of the ordained ministry of men and women.

You will demonstrate the intellectual rigour, emotional resilience and energy required to balance chaplaincy duties with an enthusiastic involvement across the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school community. This will include a roving brief to empathise with pupils in all Houses and a willingness to assist in support of the Housemasters and Housemistresses where there are pastoral concerns. Ideally, you will have a proven ability to teach but we are keen to hear from candidates who can enrich the lives of our pupils in more diverse ways.

If you join us in this high profile role, benefits include a generous remuneration package, accommodation, support for continuing development and membership of a vibrant Common Room. You will also enjoy living and working in this area of stunning natural beauty and historical significance. Above all, you will have the privilege of supporting young people as they explore their spirituality and mature into adulthood.
