Job overview
You have a degree or recognised post-graduate qualification in a Community Learning or Community Development discipline. As well as being self-motivated you are also an excellent team worker and you have the ability to develop positive partnerships. You also have up to date knowledge of Government policy on Community Learning and Development and the ability to travel throughout Aberdeenshire.
The purpose of this post within Communities and Partnerships is to drive forward the Community Learning and Development Service priorities. The post holder will be responsible for the line management of the local community learning and development team.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
