If you are a confident, good communicator, enjoy working with young people and providing support to a busy team, you could make an excellent Senior Cover Supervisor.

Following a period of induction, you will supervise classes in a teacher’s absence, to maintain good order and keep students on task for the work set by the teacher. You will also supervise students during part of break/lunchtimes and assist with admin tasks and exam invigilation, as required. As a Senior Cover Supervisor, you will also deputise for the Cover and Operations Manager during absence and will provide guidance and support for agency cover staff including checking in during free periods.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of general education and experience of working with young people (voluntary or paid). Previous experience of working in education would be desirable but is not essential. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to react confidently and positively to a variety of situations. The hours of work will be as agreed with the Cover and Operations Manager however a 7am start time would be desirable to support with cover plans for the day ahead. If you are simply looking for a change of role in education or are keen to further your knowledge and skill set before training to be a teacher, then please get in touch.

You will be given a full induction and opportunities to a range of personal and professional development opportunities plus rewarding staff wellbeing initiatives to support you along the way.
