The College now seeks an outstanding Senior Deputy Head to join the leadership team. The Deputy Head will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the school and will deputise for the Head in his absence. The Deputy Head will play a key role in Runnymede’s leadership team, working closely with the Headmaster over all matters concerning the running of the school, including academic provision, pastoral care and welfare of pupils and staff. The Deputy Head will oversee the planning of the school calendar in consultation with the appropriate staff, and line manage Heads of Department and other senior staff as assigned by the Headmaster.
The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of leadership within an independent school setting, ideally at senior management team level, and will have experience of operating strategically at a whole school level. Experience of working in an all through school would be an advantage.

Runnymede College is a private school that provides a British education for English-speaking students of all nationalities who are resident in Madrid.
The aims of the School are:
- To provide an all-round, academic, liberal humanist education to all students regardless of their sex, race, religion or nationality. There is no religious instruction.

Spaniards and those who are bilingual follow courses of language and culture prescribed by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.
