We will be opening a brand new 2 year old provision at Rhyl Community Primary School in January 2022 and we are looking for an excellent and experienced Senior Early Years Educator to join our school. You will play a lead role in the establishment of the new provision, working closely with the EYFS lead.

Rhyl Community Primary School is a good school with a dedicated team of excellent practitioners and happy, well-behaved children. We have a positive and inclusive ethos and the school is a friendly place to work.

The successful candidates will have had experience of working with pupils from birth to 5 years old, a good understanding of the EYFS framework and some experience of leading in an Early Years setting.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.  Please telephone the school to make an appointment if you would like to visit.

Rhyl Community Primary School is a very happy school with genuinely fantastic staff and really lovely children. We are a two form entry primary school with a large Nursery across two school sites. We have a high number of children with wide ranging needs and are strongly committed to inclusion for everyone. We want our pupils to have the highest aspirations and the highest achievement possible. Our children are well-motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn and they benefit from a broad, creative and enriched curriculum. We have developed an exciting cross-curricular and creative curriculum which provides meaningful learning experiences for all of our children.

The school has begun an exciting phase of development from this September which includes the development of Rhyl as an extended school over two sites. This will include a new children’s centre, a 2-year old provision and a community hub as well as the extension of our already excellent inclusive provision.

We have an award winning kitchen garden and teaching kitchen and work closely with the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation to promote growing and cooking within the curriculum as well as with Giorgio Locatelli and the Ritz who have adopted the school and run workshops with the children. Music is integral to all that we do and we have won many awards as well as having close partnerships with the London Symphony Orchestra and the Barbican. Literacy and reading are the foundation of our curriculum which is a theme based approach and provides dedicated opportunities for children to learn through the expressive arts as well as through regular visits to London venues.

The recruitment pack and application form are downloadable from our school website: www.rhylprim.camden.sch.uk, see School Vacancies in the ‘School Info’ section of the website.  Please ensure that you address the person specification in your application.

If you would like to speak to us about the posts, please telephone the school office at Grafton Road on 020 7485 1947.

The closing date is 4pm on Tuesday 7 December and interviews will be held during the week beginning 13 December 2021

Candidates shortlisted for interview will be notified by telephone.

No agencies please.

Rhyl Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to pre-employment checks, references will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check
