Job overview

What it’s about

The Senior Education Advisor will lead on the development of new opportunities resulting in contracts for services for Ministries, national bodies and education systems. While business development is a core part of this role, the education advisor achieves this not through cold calling, but through expert knowledge of global education needs and establishing Cambridge as a credible partner in education development initiatives. This role is about identifying opportunities for our curriculum and education transformation services and then forging relationships to make them happen.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Education Advisor, you’ll work closely with the Regional Director for Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and colleagues based in Cambridge on developing strategy and the spearheading of expansion initiatives. With your keen understanding of the vision documents and 5 year plans of education ministries in the MENA region, you’ll be able to determine where we can really add value to education systems. Guided by learners’ best interests, you will find innovative ways of introducing our services to key people. You’ll also be called upon to contribute to contract negotiation and give input into the design of education solutions

What we’re looking for

In addition to being an expert in education, you’ll have an understanding of the cultural context informing education. Your knowledge and excellent networking skills will enable you to engage with ministry staff, potential local partners, competitors, academics and ambassadors, in a way that inspires stakeholder confidence. You will be a fluent Arabic speaker.

Who we are

We are part of Cambridge Assessment, a department of the University of Cambridge. The closing date for receipt of applications is 10 April 2017 and interviews will be held on 9 and 10 May 2017.
