Good Samaritan Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 College located at Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast.  The College opened in 2019 and is steadily growing towards full enrolment. The first seniors will graduate from the College in 2024. We are seeking an experienced and qualified senior English teacher to join our dynamic teaching team.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching at least two of the following ATAR English courses:

• General English
• Literature
• Essential English

As the College grows to include all senior classes, the successful candidate will be involved in the QCAA processes of endorsement and confirmation of assessment.

Highly desirable criteria includes the ability to also teach one of the following subjects:

• Film, Television and New Media
• Drama
• Religious Education
• contribute to the College co-curricula program

To be successful in this role, you will be able to meet the following criteria: appropriate qualifications and experience, effective communication skills, an ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers, and an ability to attend to detail in innovative and creative practices.

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
