Opportunity

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a new British curriculum school in Lisbon, part of the Artemis Education group of schools. The school is split into 3 age groups, supported by a Head of Juniors (for children aged 3-7), Head of Middle School (for children aged 8-13) and two Deputy Heads in the Senior School. The Senior Leadership Team will support the Principal with all elements of the development of the school, giving students a holistic education, embracing all facets of school life. 

​​Opening in September 2023 the Lisboan International School will be the latest international school in the Lisbon area. Lisbon’s abundant sunshine and excellent quality of life are attracting many new residents from all over the world. It is culturally rich and diverse and extremely safe - welcoming outsiders to a relaxed international lifestyle.

The role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive mark on the school at the outset of the project. The successful candidate will be in post a year before the first children start at the school, and work with the senior leadership team in preparation for the opening of the school. This will involve putting policies and procedures in place, development of the curriculum, ensuring the school is fully compliant, as well as meeting with prospective parents and children and generally helping to create a happy and inspirational learning environment.

Opening in September 2024 for students in Nursery - Year 10, the school will eventually house 1,200 students from Nursery to Year 13.
