Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and 8 Early Learning Centres, with over 21,000 students and employing over 2,500 professionals.

Working as part of the central finance team and reporting to the Financial Controller you will play a key business partner role, providing contemporary high-level support and advice to Schools, that ensures operational excellence and enables them to continue to deliver quality and valued education to their students.

As a Senior Officer you will lead a small service-oriented team, who actively collaborates and works within cross functional teams that are focused on delivering best practice across accounting and compliance services within a client centric model. You and your team will provide advice across a broad range of financial matters as well as ensuring reporting obligations are met in relation to funding arrangements.

To be successful in this role you will be a proven and forward-thinking leader, who is motivated by quality results and has demonstrated professional financial/accounting expertise within a complex and multifaceted organisation. You will have well-developed knowledge of contemporary accounting issues, possessing highly developed analytical and conceptual skills with an aptitude for problem solving and innovation in the context of finance and budget resource management.

Qualifications in accounting are essential with a membership of an accounting professional body like CA or CPA.
