Are you ready to make a real and lasting difference? Would you like to be part of a team committed to ensuring that our children and young people achieve their full potential?

We are looking to recruit a Senior Learning Support Assistant (term-time only).  You will support the effective delivery of education and independence programmes through the effective supervision of a small team of Learning Support staff. Acting as a positive role model you will provide guidance for your own team and contribute to their performance and professional development.

The successful candidate will have the ability to balance conflicting priorities presented during the school day, address unpredicatable situations and the changing requirements and needs of students and staff.

You'll be working the following hours: 08:00-16:00 or 08:30-16:30

To succeed you will posses:

  • Emotional resilience
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness
  • A strong 'can do' attitude
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Previous experience in a special needs environment/school would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Tadley Court school is set in a beautiful semi rural location with four acres of well maintained grounds. We are a day school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 5 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.

We offer a safe, structured and predictable environment where students can develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible allowing them to make real life choices as they approach and reach adulthood.

To succeed we need people who share our passion for making a difference and ideally (though not essentially as training will be given) have previous experience of autism. We are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and expect all staff to share this commitment.

If you would like to find out more or if you have specific questions to ask before making an application please contact Dianne Price, School Business Manager on 07795 636193.

If you would like to apply, please complete the application form fully as we cannot short list from a CV.
