Are you ready for a challenge?

Do you have experience of working in an education setting with young adults with ASD and learning disabilities aged 16 – 25 who may also have complex needs and behaviours of concern?

The Aurora Centre at the Merton Campus of South Thames College Group is a purpose designed centre which provides education and training opportunities for students with autism and complex needs.

You will be enthusiastic, confident and reliable.  You will have experience of supporting lecturers in the delivery of teaching sessions to young ASD adults. In the absence of the lecturer you will be able to plan and deliver teaching sessions and support learners to achieve learning goals and life skills. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to provide pastoral and social care to learners including supporting their personal care needs and managing behaviours of concern (formally called challenging behaviour).
