Applications are invited for an experienced clinician to lead the Physician Associate Studies programme. This role will assume significant responsibility for ensuring the continued development, quality management and clinical student support for this new profession. Additionally they will be responsible for developing a CPD strategy for qualified Physician Associates.

You must be able to demonstrate a track record in working in healthcare education, with relevant experience of the medical model of education delivery. You should have established and current working knowledge of clinical practice in the NHS and be familiar with medical models of education. Additionally, you should be able to work across the academic-clinical interfaces in a variety of clinical settings with multi-disciplinary teams. You will be required to work closely with the programme management team and numerous external stakeholders to facilitate an excellent student experience.

You must be registered on an appropriate statutory register (e.g. GMC, HCPS, NMC or voluntary register for Physician Associates (RCP)) and hold both a higher and first degree in healthcare related subject. Mentorship for the role will be provided. The post is available for 3 years initially.
