Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing

Due to the retirement of the previous post-holder, there is the opportunity to
join the Department of Secondary Education in the Faculty of Education, Health
and Wellbeing as a Senior Lecturer in Secondary Education Science. You will
teach across initial teacher training courses.

You will possess a good Honours Degree (UK, or UK equivalence), a
master’s qualification or equivalent experience or be keen to work towards
a postgraduate qualification. You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
and be able to demonstrate successful teaching experience in science across
the secondary age phase (11-19). You will have had experience of subject
leadership in secondary science and the ability to lead chemistry subject
specific training.

You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate that
you are an excellent communicator and have an exemplary track record
within teaching.
