Due to the retirement of the previous post-holder, there is the opportunity to join the Department of Secondary Education in the Faculty of Education Health and Wellbeing as a Senior Lecturer in Secondary English. The successful candidate will teach across initial teacher training courses.

You will possess a good Honours Degree (UK, or UK equivalence), a master’s qualification or equivalent experience or be keen to work towards a postgraduate qualification. You should have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and will have had successful secondary school teaching experience in English across the secondary age phase (11-19) and experience of subject leadership in secondary English.

You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate that you are an excellent communicator and have an exemplary track record within teaching.
