Sibford School are looking for a Senior Lifeguard and Lifeguard to join Sibford School’s Pool and Leisure facility.


The Lifeguard role is a part-time post which will cover for periods of both pupil and community use. The appointed person will be responsible for the life guarding of the pool for designated sessions, these will be evenings, weekends and school holidays.

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal and communication skills and an appreciation of Health and Safety practices.

You must be appropriately qualified to lifeguard the pool, supervise groups of varying ages and be aware of normal pool operating procedures.

This is a year-round position on a 0-hour contract.

The Senior Lifeguard will support the Pool Manager in the effective day to day running of all leisure facilities including the swimming pool, plant, climbing wall, sports hall and sports classroom.

The role is varied, you will be responsible for ensuring the pool and leisure facilities operate in a safe and efficient manner, undertake necessary safety checks and ensure spaces are clean and tidy at the end of each session/day. Undertake thorough health and safety inspections and identify any areas of concern.

You will also supervise the Lifeguards, supervise swimming pool and leisure activities, take bookings and ensure enquiries are dealt with, assist with rotas and be a keyholder - opening and locking up the facility.

You must be appropriately qualified to lifeguard the pool, supervise groups of varying ages and be aware of normal pool operating procedures.

The role is year-round, part time or full time between 22.5 and 37.5 hours per week, you will be required to work evenings and weekends.
