About the Role

The Senior Officer People and Culture reports to the People and Culture Leader and works across Catholic Education Canberra Goulburn (CECG). The Senior Officer is actively involved in management level decision making, drives new and better ways of operating CECG core people processes and contributes to the overall wellbeing and progress of the System.

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships including nurturing internal and external relationships; guiding, leading, mentoring and developing people; consulting and partnering with others.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex issues and explore possibilities and innovative solutions.
  • Highly developed communication skills including managing conflict and negotiating to achieve outcomes
  • Proven ability to coordinate, collaborate and lead the activities of a team.
  • Highly experienced in providing advice and assisting in matters relating to multiple enterprise agreements and industrial instruments.
  • Professional knowledge of performance management processes
  • Strong workplace investigation and resolution skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to dynamic and complex situations utilising sound judgement and decision making.
  • Proven ability to manage change effectively and deliver quality results
