Job overview

Academy Transformation Trust believes that all children should receive a first-class education and are well prepared for their life ahead academically, personally, emotionally and professionally. We are committed to our responsibility to support, challenge and guide our academies and their staff to ensure success.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Senior Play Leader to provide safe and stimulating care for children, under an agreed system of supervision.

Reporting to the Principal of the Academy, you will plan a range of suitable activities for children aged 3-11 on a half-termly basis, motivating and encouraging the children to take part.

If successful, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of nutritional snacks for the children and providing facilities for them to do their homework. We'll look to you to ensure the welfare and safety of children within our care and promote good behaviour with the group.

You will also act as a First Aider, ready at all times for emergency situations and you'll ensure we are providing a clean, tidy environment conducive to fostering good health and safety practice. Therefore, if you have First Aid training and/or a Food Hygiene certificate, it would be a distinct advantage.

The hours for this role are 21.25 hours per week, during term time only, from 7:30am - 8:45am and 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
