An Exciting Opportunity to Join a Dynamic Team!

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of student support through raising aspirations and performance and helping to build ambition, confidence and resilience in young people.  You will lead a team of Progress Tutors in the delivery of high quality pastoral provision which supports target grade achievements for all students under your guidance.  The role will require you to establish a distinct team culture for both Progress Tutors and students of ambition, success, perseverance and diligence.  The successful candidate will take a lead on all safeguarding and child protection issues at the college, being part of the broader safeguarding team and working with multi-agencies where necessary.

We are looking for a committed and motivated individual, with previous experience in a similar role and with knowledge of statutory safeguarding procedures.  You should have excellent communication and language skills and have the flexibility to occasionally work evenings at College events.

New College Bradford is a 16-19 free school opening initially with 500 students, rising to 1200 by September 2021.  The college sits within the New Collaborative Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust established by New College Pontefract (an Ofsted outstanding provider).  We believe that students at New College Bradford should enjoy high-quality teaching and learning underpinned by a culture of high expectations, challenge and support, both for students and staff, which will enable young people in Bradford to secure high-quality qualifications to support them into employment, training and higher education.  Working in a new campus, you will join a focused and driven team at the cutting-edge of teaching and learning.  New College Bradford will primarily deliver A Levels, alongside a number of Level 3 Applied General qualifications.

If you believe that you have the skills and abilities to take on this role, we’d love to hear from you.

NCLT will raise standards across our family of schools and colleges.  We will promote a culture of aspiration, excellence and enjoyment.  We will use our collective strengths and expertise to benefit our children and young people.

A charitable company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales (company number: 09257194).

NCLT has a commitment to safeguarding students and the successful candidate will be subject to pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS.  We value diversity and actively promote equality of opportunity.  As a Disability Confident Committed Employer, all disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for a post will be offered an interview
