In this newly created role you will work closely with the Safeguarding & Wellbeing Coordinator to provide a frontline safeguarding response, ensuring students are safe, secure and supported.
As the lead contact for students subject to Child Protection or Child in Need plans, your previous experience will enable you to provide effective intensive support to identified students who are at serious risk of underachieving and/or becoming NEET due to associated issues that may impact on their learning or ability to engage.
You would be joining a motivated and experienced student focused team who are collaborative and proactive in their approach to supporting students to overcome barriers and achieve their potential. You will be based onsite at our Croydon campus.
With at least 2 years’ experience carrying out a substantial safeguarding role, you will have a thorough knowledge of current safeguarding practice and legislation, and a high level of skills in working effectively with young people with complex personal circumstances.
In return Croydon College offers generous leave, the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.
