We seek an experienced and dynamic teacher to lead the Business and Economics department, a highly successful and collaborative team.  We offer both subjects in the IGCSE programme and at IB Diploma level. We encourage innovation and entrepreneurship at the college in collaboration with our STEM department and through our excellent community links. Business and Economics are popular option choices for our students, who are highly motivated and rightly ambitious. Established in 2005 DCB is a modern, impressive College, home to children aged 3 to 18 and is accredited by ISI, HMC, IB, CIS and WASC and regularly reviewed by Dulwich College London and Dulwich International. The College comprises three schools, each with its own Head Teacher for Early Years, Junior School and Senior School. We offer EYFS in the Foundation Stage, an enhanced English National Curriculum in Key Stage 1, 2 and 3, I/GCSE’s and the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Facilities at DCB are world class and include SE21, a Technology hub designed around F1 driving our development of enterprise and innovation with film and recording studio, two theatres and black box teaching spaces, sports domes, Sports Hall, playing fields, tennis courts and pool. DCB is a wireless campus supporting our laptop 1:1 programme from Year 5. All teaching staff are provided with laptops.

Life in Beijing

China is an increasingly modern, prosperous and culturally diverse country, where education is highly respected. A vibrant and exciting city with historical sites second to none (the Great Wall is less than two hours from DCB), Beijing also offers endless culinary options through its serious food culture and is a hub for international travel, the new Beijing Daxing international airport opened this year. For adventurous city lovers, there are bars and lively nightlife plus a plethora of Arts to explore but parks, lakes and hikes can all be found beyond the CBD. There are a wide variety of activities to get involved in outside of work too. DCB staff join netball, rugby, football, Aussie rules, and Gaelic football clubs. The expatriate community in Beijing is extensive offering many events throughout the year and there are great opportunities to develop authentic cultural interests. 

We offer a highly competitive salary, the Chinese Yuan is a stable currency which offers excellent saving potential due to the relatively low cost of living. Accommodation in the first year is arranged by DCB and close to the college and has comfortable, modern amenities.  There are inexpensive and efficient transport options including extensive subway.
