Newcastle School for Boys is the only independent school in the north east of England providing continuity of education for boys only from age three to 18. We are passionate about boys’ learning and the development of boys and young men of excellent character. Our teachers enjoy the freedom to be creative in their teaching, excellent relationships with pupils and colleagues and being part of a supportive and purposeful community.
We are seeking to appoint a part-time Teacher of English for our Senior School from the Summer term 2022 or earlier. It would be possible to combine this role with the part-time Media Subject Leader role advertised separately to create a full-time role.
Applications are invited from candidates who are excellent classroom practitioners and with a keen focus on academic rigour and inspiring a love of reading. The successful applicant will be an integral part of our forward thinking and ambitious English subject area. Newcastle School for Boys is the north east region’s only independent school providing education for boys only aged 3 to 18.
Following its formation in 2005 from founding schools Ascham House and Newlands School, Newcastle School for Boys is now one of the top independent schools in the North East. Located in the heart of Gosforth, Newcastle the School now sits as the only 3 to 18, boys-only school in the region.
