Job overview

Blue Coat School are  looking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to take full responsibility for the provision of technician support to the Science Department and to support the delivery of all practical science lessons. This role will involve supervising technicians, overall responsibility for the safe keeping of chemicals, stock levels, preparing resources, organising laboratories and maintaining equipment.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work both individually and as part of a team ideally with supervisory experience.  An in-depth knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and Physics with experience of handling chemicals is essential and will have worked in a labatory or similar environment. 

Blue Coat Church of England School has a large and successful Science department with a history of excellent examination results and a strong focus on experimental skills, supported by our eleven well-equipped laboratories and team of experienced technicians.
