Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and pro-active Senior Science Technician to organise and supervise a team of three technicians.  The successful applicant should have relevant scientific qualifications and previous school lab experience.  The ability to support all science subjects up to KS4 along with Chemistry and Physics to A Level is essential for this important role.  You will provide technical advice on Health and Safety issues ensuring all regulations and codes of practice are observed at all times.  The Science department is forward thinking and fast moving and you will need energy and enthusiasm to take on this role.  Additionally you will need to have good ICT skills and the ability to communicate to a wide range of people both verbally and in writing.  

The successful candidate will be employed for 38 weeks (term time) plus 4 weeks (to be agreed with the line manager).
