£20,574 to £22,962 per annum per annum

(Full time equivalent salary: £24,054 to £26,845 per annum

Full time – Term time plus 5 days

Permanent

37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm (including an unpaid 30 minute lunch break).

We are currently looking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to join our successful, ambitious and friendly science team.

The successful candidate will be joining an established team with an innovative and determined commitment to support teaching and learning in science. You will work with the science department as part of a professional team to support learning by providing technical assistance by working with students in the delivery/demonstration of practical learning activities and the preparation and maintenance of teaching areas and equipment for students.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a forward thinking approach and will have the ability to support teachers in the planning and preparation of their teaching and learning. Candidates will also have laboratory experience and detailed knowledge of safe laboratory working practices.

About Harper Green School

Harper Green School is a co-educational comprehensive located in Bolton. It was first established in 1927, and we are looking forward to the upcoming centennial celebrations. Our school has approximately 1250 students aged 11-16, making it noticeably larger than the average secondary school. The school site has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation since its founding, and boasts a range of modern teaching facilities. The most recent of these being our B block – which houses a state of the art Dance studio, Drama studio, 3 modern classrooms and Humanities and Learning Hub department areas.
