Hours: 37 hours per week (8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-4.00pm Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break).  There may be some flexibility with working hours for the right candidate.

Contract: Permanent, term time only (40 weeks per year plus 5 CPD days per year)

Grade: H6

Full time equivalent salary: From £24,081 per annum including London Fringe

Actual salary: From £21,060 per annum

The School is now looking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to lead of team of Science Technicians to support practical work in Science lessons.  The Senior Science Technician will be responsible for ensuring that apparatus and materials are provided for practical lessons and that health and safety protocols are followed.  They will oversee the maintenance and storage of stock and equipment in the Science Faculty and deal with the administration involved in ordering stock and equipment.  They will be responsible for managing the performance of the Science Technicians and provide training and guidance as required.  

The ideal candidate will have some experience providing technical support in a laboratory either in an education setting or in industry.  They should be an effective communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students and should be highly organised with good attention to detail.
