Norlington School and 6th Form is a small 11-16 boy’s school with a mixed 6th form school. Norlington was judged to be a 'good school' by Ofsted;

• 'Students make excellent progress'  • 'Students behave well in lessons and around the school. They enjoy coming to school.'

 • '..Leaders have a relentless drive for continuous improvement'

 The Science department wishes to appoint a Senior Science Technician to continue to support the outstanding success of the Science department. The appointed person will ensure that a safe and effective laboratory technical service is provided for the use of pupils and staff in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school. This is an opportunity to work in a successful and dynamic Science Department in which practical work is an integral part of the curriculum. There are six full time Science Teachers and an Assistant Principal that teach Science in 6 brand new laboratories.  We currently teach KS3 Science in mixed ability classes.  At KS4 AQA, Combined Science is taught to most students, and Triple Science is also offered at KS4. We offer A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS5.

Applicants should have relevant experience, a thorough knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and good communication skills.  It would be desirable if the postholder can begin work at the beginning of October 2018.

Norlington School and 6th Form is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.  The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure.  Application forms and further details are available on the school’s website: www.norlington.net , our school/vacancies link.
