Job overview

Our client is an independent school with two campuses. They focus is working with young people aged 16-18 who have disengaged from mainstream education due to individual, relational and social factors, to re-commence their education within our school. Staff enjoy a collaborative and supportive team environment. The school seeks to appoint a teacher for Year 11 and 12 classes.

About the Role:

  • Senior Secondary Teachers – Brisbane North OR Ipswich 
  • 1 teacher for the Lawnton Campus and 1 teacher for the Riverview Campus
  • Term 2 contract, with view to continue 
  • Ability to teach any of the following: Year 11 and 12 Essential English, Maths, Community Studies or Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways 
  • TAE advantageous but not essential
  • Ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students from disengaged backgrounds
  • Passionate and caring staff 
  • Team oriented and supportive environment 

Selection Criteria:

  • Graduate and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education
  • Provide a minimum of three professional references
  • Be registered, or have the ability to be registered with QCT
  • Have the right to work in Australia
