Sidcot School is a friendly, high achieving co-ed, day and boarding, independent school (3 to 18) set in 150 acres of glorious North Somerset countryside just south of Bristol. We require a Senior SIMS Administrator to manage the SIMS database, assist with the use of SIMS across all areas of the School and deputise / support the Examinations Officer.
Candidates should have previous experience of managing and operating a database, preferably the School Information Management System (Capita SIMS) and at least intermediate, and preferably advanced, skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Alongside a commitment to driving improvement and excellent interpersonal skills, you must be able to remain calm when under pressure and to cope with competing deadlines.
The post is approximately 40% of FTE (644 hours per annum). The postholder must have a flexible approach to working hours: actual hours worked per week will vary during the year according to the demands of the role.

About Sidcot School
Sidcot School is a mixed, independent, all-through Quaker school and sixth form for pupils aged three to nineteen. It is located in Winscombe, Somerset, in south-west England, and has about 550 students on its roll.
The school can trace its history back to 1699, when it was founded by Quakers. However, it moved to its current site in 1808.
The school is a registered charity, and is administered by its governing body. At least half of these governors must be members of the Religious Society of Friends.
