Kyloe House Secure Children's Home School is seeking to appoint a determined, experienced and inspirational Senior Teacher to support the education team within the secure setting; post to commence Jan 2018.

Kyloe House is a National Secure Home in Northumberland accommodating 12 young people aged 10 - 17, placed on welfare grounds.

Kyloe House is a purpose built secure children’s home on the Netherton Park site. We provide safe and secure accommodation for a mixed group of up to twelve children/young people.  It has been designed to provide accommodation for children and young people requiring placements ranging from one day to many years. The age limits we can accommodate ranges from ten years old to seventeen years of age. We cannot accommodate young people who have a physical disability that would require a wheel chair or specialist lifting equipment. The centre has two units Alder and Willow, there is no separation of welfare and youth justice cases. As the unit/s accommodate six young people each the ethos is of a family atmosphere. 

Kyloe House endeavours to provide a safe environment for all its residents whether they are admitted for welfare reasons, on remand or serving a sentence.  All the young people’s emotional, social, developmental, physical, educational and spiritual needs are catered for by our individually tailored, comprehensive and intensive work programmes. We aim to support young people develop the skills necessary to return to an open setting or move on to another placement.
