Senior Teaching Assistant

Senior Teaching Assistant 32.5 hours p.w 

Term time + 5 training days 

Salary Scale - starting £21,057 FTE (£15,820 pro rata) 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative colleague to join our improving special school. Within an agreed system of supervision, you will work with teachers to support teaching and learning and provide specialist support to maximise pupil development and achievement. 

You will initially be placed within the KS1 / KS2 class, but may be deployed to other areas of the school in time. You will be expected to carry out specified work in supporting the leadership team to develop parental engagement. You may also supervise whole classes during the short term absence of teachers in unforeseen / unplanned circumstances. 

The school is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS).
