Thank you for your interest in the Senior Years Maths and Science teaching position. We are seeking a teacher who is student focused and a team player who will work collaboratively with others. The College works in a 1:1 Laptop environment currently from Year 7 and is genuinely P – 12 College. There are a range of co-curricular learning experiences including Outdoor Education, Sport and Cultural opportunities. About St Augustine's College

St Augustine’s College is a Catholic secondary day and boarding school for boys and also operates as a boarding school for girls who attend St. Monica’s College. It is located in the Diocese of Cairns, Queensland. The school has a set enrolment ceiling of 780 boys. 

The Marist brothers founded the school in 1930 and is the oldest operating Marist school in Queensland. St Augustine’s Brother’s Monastery has five members that fulfil a number of roles in the college and is located on the college campus.

Facilities

St Augustine’s College facilities include a specialist multimedia room, multipurpose hall, industrial technology and design centre, gym, wellbeing centre, chapel and swimming pool. 

Curriculum

The school provides a comprehensive curriculum that has been specifically designed to accommodate the particular learning styles and preferences of boys. ICT is taught in an integrated way across the curriculum and one to one designated devices have been rolled out since 2015. Co-curricular activities include theatrical productions, community service, camping, music and sports.
