Do you have a commitment to the meaningful inclusion of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Post-16 settings and the Independent Non-Maintained Sector (INMS)? Are you a passionate and experienced manager who feels confident to quality assure provision and can build positive relationships in order to support providers to improve outcomes for their students?

ISEND SEN Practice and Standards is looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to manage a small team and be the strategic lead for Post-16 and INMS. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Post-16 education and understand the importance of good transition support between key stages.

You will be a qualified teacher with experience of working with students with a broad range of SEND. You will have a working knowledge of statutory provision in the Further Education (FE) sector with regards to SEND, and a good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice. You will also have knowledge of the Ofsted requirements for FE and INMS.

The role requires a positive, solution-focused disposition along with strong influencing skills. In return, this role brings the opportunity not only to directly improve practice in Post-16 and INMS across East Sussex, but to be part of the highly motivated SEN Practice and Standards Team who are committed to improve the outcomes for all children and young people with SEND throughout their education journey.
