Our Lecturers form the essential teaching level in the structure of each section and as such, are expected to facilitate the effective and efficient administration of the courses and subjects under their guidance.
As a Sessional Lecturer in 3D Designer Maker, you will teach 3D design and making skills on our Level 3 3D Design course, as well as elements of fine art skills and concepts to our Foundation Diploma Course and our Access Course. You will have clear working knowledge of 3D workshop procedures and equipment, e.g., circular saw, pillar drill, band saw and use of traditional hand tools.
The successful candidate will hold a degree or professional qualification in an area relevant to the work in the School and hold a teaching qualification, if not you must achieve the Preparing to Teach Award (PTLLS) within one year of the start of their employment with the College and the Diploma in Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector (DTLLS) within five years.
A strong team player with excellent teaching skills, you will have the ability to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress. With high personal standards and expectations, you will be receptive to new ideas and initiatives and have a creative approach to problem solving.
