Job overview

Reporting to the Senior Lecturer in A levels, you will ensure delivery of high quality teaching and effective learning of Geography within the Sixth Form and Business department; including GCSE, AQA AS and A Level.

You will demonstrate extensive knowledge of your subject area together with the drive and passion to motivate students to achieve, encouraging them to partake in extra mural activities to enhance their career and personal development. The experience and confidence to plan, prepare and deliver effective teaching and learning strategies is also key to this role.

With an appropriate degree and a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English, you should be an inspiring communicator with an in-depth knowledge of this developing curriculum area. The proven ability to contribute to the raising of retention and achievement is also important.
