The Douay Martyrs Catholic Secondary School would like to recruit a well organised, self-motivated, calm but confident person as a SIMS Office Administrator.  This is an opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive team and develop your skills across all areas relating to pupil data.  We would welcome applicants who have experience of similar roles in other schools including using SIMS although this is not essential as full training will be provided.  If you have a willingness to work as part of a busy team, want to continue learning and know that you can deliver accurately to deadlines, then we would like to hear from you.

In this role you will be responsible for the administration of pupil data and providing support for all functions within the SIMS Office to ensure there is cover in all areas.

This will include:

• Working closely with the SIMS Office and Data Manager across all areas relating to the SIMS/Data Office including student assessment, reporting and progress analysis

• Specific responsibility for SIMS data entry and reporting

• Parent/Carer communication via Iris Reach and ParentLite Apps

• Working with parent/carers to resolve any issues with contact details and access to Apps

• General administrative support across all functions relating to Welfare, Attendance and Pupil records

• First Aid training

• Manage all on and off roll procedures including CME referrals, reporting and transfer of records

• Ensure complete and accurate Census data in SIMS

• Reporting to DfE, LBH, Governors, SLT, Pastoral and Curriculum teams as required

• Produce timetables for new starters, set changes throughout the year and distribute

• Support the Yr8 Option process

• Quality assurance for all communications


The successful candidate will:

• Possess a calm, confident and assertive manner and relate well to young people

• Be highly organised, have attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

• Be a confident and adept user of IT and Microsoft applications

• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Be proactive, resourceful and flexible


You will work alongside our current SIMS Office Administrator
