Site Assistant / Caretaker

We are looking to appoint 2 Caretakers to join our growing Site Team and to work at The Victory Academy and Holcombe Grammar School.    

You will be a responsible person and competent in all aspects of site maintenance.  It is imperative that our Site Team successfully manage our school premises and associated facilities, ensuring that the premises are secure, safe and well-maintained at all times to reflect the standards of education and behaviour within the school.

Your new role:   

You will be working a two week early/late shift pattern with some flexibility needed for school events plus weekend working.  You will be part of a team required to maintain and care for the school and its grounds.    

Duties include:   

• unlocking and locking the premises   
• general building skills   
• interacting with sub-contractors   
• unblocking drains and cleaning   
• setting up rooms for meetings/exams and functions  
• As well as any other duties that are required with this role.    

What you will need to succeed:   

• Previously worked as a caretaker or similar   
• Practical skills in maintenance and cleaning   
• Experience of working within an Academy/School is desirable, along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office
