We are seeking an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person with a flexible approach to work and a "can-do" attitude to join our friendly and motivated team at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy.

Job title: Site Assistant

Salary:  Grade 3 (Actual salary £18,562 to £19,317)

Hours:  37  hours per week, all year round

Start date: As soon as possible

Closing date:  10 April  2021

The Site Assistant holds a key role in pro-actively maintaining the academy's building and facilities, and ensuring we provide a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.

The academy site is open from 6am to 6pm and the successful candidate would be expected to work on a flexible shift/split shift basis within those hours depending on academy need. There would also be a need to be available to attend and manage evening and weekend lettings which will attract additional pay.

The role will undertake a range of general caretaking duties, including security, porterage, maintenance, including painting, fixing and simple DIY tasks,  and some cleaning of the academy site. Under supervision, the role will also assist in ensuring the facilities function correctly and that health and safety matters are monitored and recorded.

Maintenance and/or caretaking experience would be beneficial to your application, but we are also interested in hearing from you if you have transferable skills suitable for the role.
