Broomfield House School is the oldest independent school in Kew Gardens, near Richmond. We are a happy and thriving co-educational school for children of local families aged 3-11 years old. We are a school that strives for excellence and we were delighted that in 2007 and 2010 Ofsted recognised this with an “outstanding” overall inspection judgement. 

We have a team of enthusiastic and excellent staff teaching our children, including classroom assistants in our early years, KS1 and KS2 classes. 

We are looking to appoint a full time Site Manager to work both at the school and neighbouring nursery group.

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 4.00pm, some flexibility for evening functions will be required.   

The Role

Duties will include:

To ensure that the buildings and school site are secure, particularly out of school hours, and to attend rapid response call-outs as required. 

To undertake maintenance tasks as required;

General maintenance and minor repair work including: doors, windows, toilet seats and flushes, furniture, tap washers and some painting of doors and walls, replacing light bulbs. 

To arrange contractors and escort as necessary.

To arrange periodic visits i.e alarm maintenance in line with current legislation.

Ensure that all lights and heating are working effectively 

Upkeep and general care of the school 

Cleaning and tidying of the internal school building 

Cleaning of internal glass, internal and external door glass and internal side of external windows 

General porterage duties and moving of furniture 

To perform duties in line with health and safety requirements and take remedial action where hazards are identified. 

 participate enthusiastically in all aspects of school life.
