Job overview

We currently have exciting opportunities for highly committed Site Managers to work across schools within our Trust. The Site Manager responsible for Grange School will also be responsible for MEA Central.

About Prospere Learning Trust

Prospere Learning Trust was formed in September 2017 through the merger of two multi academy trusts. We currently employ approximately 1000 staff and we believe that our staff play a vital role in achieving our vision. Great schools thrive because of the great people in them.

The Trust currently comprises of 8 schools, including 4 mainstream high schools and 4 special needs schools (both primary and secondary) with further schools anticipated cross Greater Manchester. With ambitious plans for growth and supporting academies to become the best they can be, every child is provided with the opportunity to develop the skills to be confident and successful.

A core principle at Prospere Learning Trust is Respectful Relationships where acting with care, integrity, and fairness is demonstrated within all our schools.

We value each member of our professional community and value our health and wellbeing. Our Staff Charter sets a standard which we all seek to follow and an environment:

• based on trust and shared values

• respect and positive relationships

• where staff health, safety and wellbeing are incorporated into day to day practices

• where personal and professional development is encouraged

• where support is available when needed

Find out more about our Trust on our main TES page or by downloading the brochure below.

The Site Manager will take responsibility for the school sites, associated building and facilities ensuring full compliance with the Trust's Estate Strategy and guidance.

The right candidate will believe that high quality education is an entitlement of all young people, and will understand that the Site Manager role is key to delivering this. This role will suit a highly organised individual who is experienced in managing a team and managing external contractors to maintain and improve our beautiful school premises. This role includes a high degree of responsibility for ensuring our premises are safe and secure. With responsibility for multiple sites, the successful candidate will have exceptional communication and planning skills. This role requires the post holder to commute between schools and therefore a full clean driving licence and own transport is essential.

The Grange School is a special school located in Levenshulme, Manchester which provides 247 day places for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Grange offers a bespoke education for a wide range of pupils between EYFS and KS5 through the provision of a carefully planned and stimulating environment where the pupils can explore, investigate and learn. The bespoke Know and Remember Curriculum has been devised to ensure pupils have access to all the statutory content from the National Curriculum, delivered through engaging and challenging classroom activities. Pupils are set targets each term and progress is measured throughout the school year using our bespoke pupil data system.

Grange School offers some of the most exciting and engaging curriculum enrichment activities to support the pupil’s learning. We have an on-site farm with alpacas, pigs and ducks, alongside guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoises and a gecko. An enhanced learning area called the Know Globes supports the delivery of the Remember More Curriculum, and a full-size role play area known as Imagination Village enables pupils to practise real-world skills such as using money, work in our on-site post office and mail delivery service or experience several other real-world settings, including a grocer’s, a doctor’s surgery, a vet’s, a bakery and a mechanics garage.

KS4 and KS5 have a curriculum designed around the world of work and offer accredited courses in English, maths and PSHE in KS4, along with a range of qualifications as they move into KS5 – including Active Sports and Leisure, Catering and Hospitality and Construction, to name but a few.

Grange was graded 'Outstanding' in all areas following the Ofsted inspection in 2023,

"Pupils at all stages in their school life blossom, both socially and academically. This helps pupils to have a strong sense of belonging and they feel part of the school community." Ofsted 2023
