Job overview

The Trustees of Ironstone Academy Trust wish to appoint an enthusiastic and highly skilled Site Manager to join our committed staff at Normanby Primary.  The successful applicant will undertake a key role at Normanby Primary, in ensuring that the school is a safe, clean and pleasant learning environment for our staff, pupils and visitors.  Working alongside our existing cleaning staff the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience of supervising staff successfully, as well as a knowledge of facilities management.

The successful applicant will initially work under the direction of the Head of School and be able to assess, carry out and supervise small building tasks.  They will assess situations across school to minimise risks to staff, visitors and pupils.  They will be physically able to meet the demands of the job and undertake minor maintenance tasks.

The successful applicant will work at our innovative and exciting school alongside our large team of excellent staff.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • An understanding of safeguarding and awareness of Keeping Children Safe in Education
  • Knowledge of Facilities Management
