Emneth Academy have a rare opportunity for a Site Officer to join their team. This role is a vital part of the Academy operations and has the potential to really make a difference to the life of the Academy's pupils, staff and the Community as a whole.

The role includes locking and unlocking the premises as well as general maintenance tasks, porterage and undertaking and recording health and safety checks. However in reality no 2 days will be the same and you will be a vital part of the full site team for the Eastern Multi- Academy Trust, providing training and development opportunities to go alongside the competitive salary (Grade and Job Evaluation process ongoing), pension and other benefits.

This role require to be part of a rota for lettings and call-outs.  The Academy has a team of Cleaners to support the site. 

Job Details

37 hours full time full year (25 days holiday plus bank holidays) LGPS Pension and public sector occupational payments.

Grade D £19,650 to £20,043 per annum *GRADE REVIEW PENDING*

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Manager to ensure the internal and external site is clean and health and safety compliant.

There are systems and procures in place to ensure that the Academy is safe, secure and well-maintained at all times. This includes an online system (EVERY) to record and update mandatory health and safety checks and regular support from the Business Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a practical and enthusiastic candidate to join our well established team. This is a physically demanding role involving patrolling the campus, undertaking physical tasks, such as moving furniture, general DIY and maintenance. You must be able to undertake basic maintenance tasks and have a general understanding of health and safety procedures or willing to learn.

There is a requirement to use a computer as part of this role.

Full training and support will be provided to the successful post holders.  This will include safeguarding as well as aspects of Health and Safety.

Experience of working within a school environment or a similar role would also be advantageous, but is not essential.
